Direction from Pittsburgh International Airport: Follow Route 60 South, which will turn into I-279 North. Follow I-279 North approximately 6 miles to the Fort Pitt Tunnel. Go through the Fort Pitt tunnel and over the Fort Pitt Bridge and stay in the far right lane and take the first right exit which is I-376 for a short distance to the Grant St. Exit which is a left lane exit. Follow Grant St. approximately 4 blocks and make a right turn onto 6th Avenue. Turn left at the first traffic light onto Bigelow Blvd. and the main entrance is on the right. If you want to enter the hotel through the parking garage, make 2 right turns around the building and then make a 3rd right turn into the parking garage.

Press Seating Press seating is located throughout the building both on press level as well as in the arena bowl. Locator signs will direct media to different auxiliary locations. Media are reminded to check their seat location on the seating charts (posted in the media workroom) BEFORE proceeding to seat locations. Main Press Box - located on west side of building above section D-24. Elevators are located inside Gate 3. Auxiliary Press Box (Club Seats) – located on the east side of the building. Media can access this seating by taking the elevators on the east side of the building to the 5th floor. Arena Bowl Auxiliary Seating – located throughout the arena bowl area. Arena ushers will directed media to these seat locations.

GENERAL INFORMATION
TELEPHONE ORDERING PROCEDURES A limited number of credit card phones will be provided for media use at each 2008 Stanley Cup Final arena. Therefore, media with strict deadlines are strongly urged to order individual phones for their press box seat location. All requests must be made to the contacts listed below.
Wireless internet access in all working media areas within the arena will be provided at no cost.

MEDIA CREDENTIAL DISTRIBUTION Media Credential distribution for the 2008 Stanley Cup Final will take place at the media headquarters hotel and arena. Please check the daily schedule of events for exact times and locations. Credentials for television rightsholders (NBC/VERSUS, CBC, RDS) will be distributed at the NHL Broadcast trailer located in the Broadcast compound.
Credentialing on game days: The Media Credential Office will be open on game days at least 30 minutes prior to the first morning skate until the conclusion of the second skate. The office will re-open three hours prior to the game until game time (5 p.m. for an 8 p.m. ET start).
Credentialing during practices: The credential office will open 1 hour prior to the day's first practice. The credential office hours of operation will correspond with practice times.
If the practices are not held at the arena, the credential office will be closed. “Practice Only” credentials will be available at any alternate site that day.
Travel days: The credential office will be closed on travel days.
ARENA PRESS ENTRANCE No media will be admitted to any Stanley Cup Final games without an NHL-issued Stanley Cup Final credential. For security purposes, media must always enter and exit arenas through the media entrance.
MEDIA SEATING Seating charts for each game will be posted in the Press Box, Auxiliary Press seating area and in the event-level Media Work areas. Please note that media are not guaranteed a table-topped position in the game-viewing press areas; ample table-topped space and monitors are provided in the Working Media Room. Television crews will not be assigned press box seating and are asked to view the game from the media workroom on event level. On-air talent will be assigned seats in press areas.
Press seating in the game-viewing area is limited. Therefore, any media who do not plan to use a seat in either the Main or Auxiliary Press Boxes are asked to notify Julie Young (416-605-3550), as soon as possible so that their seat may be re-assigned.
INTERVIEW AREA The Interview Area is located on the Event Level. All NHL post-game news conferences will be broadcast live via in-house feed to the press box, auxiliary press box and the media workroom. For post-game news conferences, the head coach of the losing team will meet the media first, followed by the head coach and players from the winning team.
MEDIA ACCESS Dressing room access is limited to players, appropriate Club and League personnel and accredited media representatives only. No guests shall be permitted in the dressing room during the Stanley Cup Final. Access to the dressing rooms will be limited to those holding a League-issued credential with access stripe.
Practices & Game Day Skates - Media shall have free access to view all team practice sessions and day-of-game skates in their entirety. Accredited media with dressing room access shall be allowed entry to team dressing rooms no later than five (5) minutes following the conclusion of practice.
Pre-Game - Media access will be conducted for a 30-minute period ending 90 minutes prior to the opening face-off. Pre-game media access for an 8 p.m. start is from 6-6:30 p.m. Pre-game media access should be conducted as expeditiously as possible, with minimal disruption to regular pre-game routines.
BROADCAST REGULATIONS Any and all news “live shots” utilizing the playing surface as a backdrop must be concluded 30 minutes prior to the window for television broadcast/cablecast of the game.
News entities planning “live shots” inside an arena during the telecast window must conduct these “live shots” only within the media work area.
MEDIA SERVICES The NHL Communications Department will provide the following services to the media throughout the series:
** NEW ** Information Kiosks: Information stations equipped with internet access and printer capabilities will be set-up in the media workroom at both the headquarters hotel and arena. Media will be able to access the League’s Stanley Cup media website, www.stanleycupplayoffs2008.com, www.nhl.com and other League information websites for releases, transcripts, features and daily statistics.
** NEW ** Stanley Cup Media Website (www.stanleycupplayoffs2008.com): To assist media members covering the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the National Hockey League's Communications Department has launched www.stanleycupplayoffs2008.com, a 'one-stop shopping' website that provides storylines for each series, statistical previews, a full version of Total Stanley Cup, the 2008 NHL Playoff Media Guide as well as team playoff media guides. This website also contains all transcripts, releases, real-time video review explanations and breaking news as it relates to the Stanley Cup Final series.
Daily Schedule of Events: A daily schedule of events will be posted in the Media Workroom each morning by 9 a.m. (local time) at the Media Headquarters Hotels, on media.nhl.com and www.stanleycupplayoffs2008.com. Media are strongly encouraged to refer to the schedule daily, as times and locations are subject to change.
Quote Service: Transcripts for formal interviews with players & team management will be provided to the media by the NHL Communications Department. Transcripts will be distributed throughout media areas at the arena, available on the information kiosk at the headquarters hotel and on www.stanleycupplayoffs2008.com
Game Notes: The NHL Communications Department will provide pre- and post-game notes for games to supplement packages provided by the participating teams.
Statistics: Updated NHL statistics are available on http://media.nhl.com.
SATELLITE FEEDS All post-game news conferences will be available via satellite. Times and satellite coordinates will be available in the media workroom at the media headquarters hotel and arena.
MEDIA HOSPITALITY Media breakfasts, pre-game meals and post-game hospitality will be provided at media headquarters hotel. Media will be provided a voucher for use at the public hotel breakfast buffet in lieu of a private media breakfast. Please check the daily schedule for hospitality times and locations.
TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION Media shuttles will be available to and from all games and practices and game-day skates from media hotels. Please consult the daily schedule of events for times. The following are the pick-up and drop off locations in Detroit and Pittsburgh:
